It all started in the early 2000s when 4 individuals embarked on a journey to Statesboro, Georgia; the pot of gold at the end of their rainbow was a 4 bedroom 4 bath chateau on Landings Parkway. Little did they know that this humble abode would not only be a home for them but many individuals along the way. The individuals that I speak of are friends that trickled into these 4 individuals lives, from one stabbed by a beer bottle snorting down the road to one that transfered to Statesboro for Georgia Southerns judicial department to fulfill his dream of protecting our borders with The Department of Homeland Security. All of these individuals had enormous impacts on the original 4 individuals and at some point called 5619 their home. The memories of 5619 are many: from the giant couch and little buddy, to the famous bar and pet ducks. there was always a cold beer and conversation to be had at that vinyl siding villa.

Now that we are all grown, most married and some with children,, we're a long way from the days on Landings Parkway. The brain child of Mackee Paulk, in an effort to bring these individuals together for a weekend of soul food, shenanigans, and shit talking, the Hook 'Em and Hit 'Em weekend was born. Reality TV could not write a better script, from hacking it up in a golf tournament to The Mock Olympics, the Hook 'Em and Hit 'Em weekend never ceases to produce.
